Join us for a talk with Molly Geidel, University of Manchester, England lecturer, on New Deal filmmakers in 1940s Latin America shaping the modern world. Geidel is a lecturer in U.S. cultural history and the author of Peace Corps Fantasies: How Development Shaped the Global Sixties. Currently, she is working on a new book on development and documentary film in mid-20th century Latin America. Geidel is a faculty fellow at the Warren Center for Studies in American History at Harvard University for the academic year 2018-19. Event is sponsored by the Anne H.H. and Kenneth B.
