Andrew Kim will share his story and advice on transitioning from student to full-time employment with an Asian language degree. Topics will include the value of teaching programs like JET, the process of job hunting (and getting an internship at Microsoft), what companies look for in multi-lingual candidates, and advancing your career. Be sure to prepare questions and network with Andrew, as he welcomes referral requests. Andrew received his B.A. in Japanese Linguistics from the University of Washington. After three years as an assistant language teacher in the JET Program he returned to Seattle and landed a position at Microsoft with his Japanese language skills as the first bi-lingual support engineer for a product now called Office 365.
