Speaker: Anna Larsen, MPH, PhD Candidate Title: Epidemiologic evaluation of three depression screening tools among postpartum Kenyan women Anna is a 3rd year PhD candidate in Epidemiology and has been working with Global WACh since joining the PhD program. Her dissertation focuses on depression during pregnancy and postpartum and associations with adverse perinatal outcomes using data from the PrIMA study. As a Research Assistant with Global WACh, she has supported studies focused on PrEP use during pregnancy, as well as quality improvement for PrEP delivery among adolescent girls and young women. Prior to joining Global WACh, Anna served as a Research Manager within Fred Hutch’s Global Oncology Program where she implemented studies in Uganda focused on HIV-associated malignancies among women and children. She also held a fellowship with CDC based in South Africa focused on evaluating the national PMTCT program. Anna holds a MPH in Epidemiology from Columbia University and a BS in Biology and Public Health from UW. |
