Title: Incidence and Correlates of SARS-CoV-2 Infection among Postpartum Kenyan Women and their Infants

Emily Begnel is a research coordinator with the Global Center for Integrated Health of Women, Adolescents, and Children (GWACh). She received her MPH in epidemiology from the University of Washington in 2017 and has since supported many GWACh projects based in Kenya. Her current work includes data and operations support for a portfolio of projects including a program evaluation of Option B+ and an ongoing cohort study of mother-to-child virome transmission and viral transmission dynamics. Emily's research interests lie at the intersection of maternal and child health, virology, and immunology.
