The Institute of Translational Health Sciences (ITHS) is proud to offer the 2019 Faculty Career Development Series, which consists of lectures and workshops designed to provide junior faculty and investigators with tools, a forum for discussion, and learning opportunities to help advance their careers. This session will address core communication skills to increase competency for successful negotiations specifically to academic and research environments. At the end of the session attendees will understand communication tools and strategies to improve the quality of negotiation communications and improve awareness of challenges and traps in negotiations. In this role, Jon investigates and evaluates allegations of workplace conflict, discrimination and dysfunction within UW Medicine, and works collaboratively with stakeholders to develop and implement effective solutions to workplace problems. He has presented trainings on Conflict Resolution in various settings across the UW System. |
