It may be night at the Arboretum, but the park isn’t sleeping! Discover the Arboretum at night to see it in a whole new light. Designed for youth ages 6-12 and their caregivers, Park in the Dark is a fun family event you don’t want to miss. Through games, activities, and hikes, we will uncover what goes on when the sun goes down in the Washington Park Arboretum. What nocturnal animals come out at night? What adaptations allow them to survive and thrive? To top off the evening, set your sites on the stars with University of Washington astronomers. Their mobile planetarium comes with a clear skies guarantee…even in Seattle! We are all excited for this new addition to our Park in the Dark event. Programs are designed for families with children aged 6-12. All night hikes meet at the Graham Visitors Center (2300 Arboretum Dr E). Cost: $15 - First Child $5 - Each additional child FREE - Adults accompanied by children Register online or by phone (206-685-8033) |
