Description | Alyson Littman, PhD, MPH Research Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology, University of Washington Investigator, Seattle Epidemiologic Research Information Center Investigator, Seattle-Denver COIN for Veteran-Centered and Value-Driven Care Dr. Littman will provide a brief overview on the literature on nature and health, specifically as it relates to PTSD. Most of her talk with focus on the study design issues that she and her team contemplated when planning for and conducting a pilot study of nature hiking for Veterans with PTSD. Dr. Littman will then share results for the pilot, lessons learned, and future plans. Alyson Littman, PhD, MPH is a Research Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and an Investigator at the Seattle Epidemiologic Research Information Center and the Seattle-Denver Center of Innovation for Veteran-Centered and Value-Driven Care, which are both at the Department of Veterans Affairs Puget Sound Health Care System. Her primary research areas are physical activity, weight management, and outcomes in people with lower extremity amputation. She enjoys conducting both observational and experimental studies, and studies using both quantitative and qualitative data. |
