Description | Since 1945, the Korean peninsula has been divided into South and North Korea. Many families have lived for several decades without knowing whether or not their children or parents or siblings are still alive in either North or South Korea. Regardless of the method of separation, it is an issue persistent today and is more common than many realize. By better understanding the current reunification progress, we can work together toward raising awareness across different communities. We invite you to come listen to our guest speaker, Julie Kang from NUAC and the Korean American Coalition and professor Wang Hwi Lee from the department of political science at Ajou University in Suwon, South Korea to talk about the current state of reunification.
