Title: Using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis for Quality Improvement in the PIMA Study

Dr. Cyrus Mugo is the Senior Research Scientist at Kenyatta National Hospital, and a PhD candidate in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. His research over the last 10 years has focused on the Pediatric and Adolescent HIV care cascade including index-case HIV testing for children, improving HIV testing experience for adolescents, pediatric ART, adolescent treatment support using mHealth tools, assessing and addressing HIV stigma and mental health. He is the Principal Investigator for the PIMA study which is utilizing the failure mode and effect analysis approach to identify and prioritize barriers in the full implementation of the pediatric and adolescent viral load monitoring guidelines in Nairobi County.
