Dele Ogunseitan holds the University of California Presidential Chair at Irvine where he served for more than a decade as founding chair of the Department of Population Health & Disease Prevention. He serves on the Board of UC Global Health Institute; and as a senior advisor for USAID’s One Health Workforce | Next Generation project. He served on the State of California’s Green Ribbon Science Panel, and the State’s Advisory Committee on Community Protection and Hazardous Waste Reduction Initiative. He is Co-Chair of Apple Inc.’s Green Chemistry Advisory Board, and he is Co-Director of Lincoln Dynamic Foundation’s World Institute for Sustainable Development of Materials (WISDOM). Dele was a Global Environmental Assessment fellow at Harvard University, and a National Academies’ Jefferson Science Fellow in the U.S. State Department, where he received a meritorious honor award for exceptional teamwork and contributions to the successful achievement of U.S. goals at the third United Nations Environment Assembly.
