Title: Concentrations of key HIV-risk vaginal microbiota species and inflammatory mediators across preconception, pregnancy, and early postpartum in HIV-negative Kenyan women Michelle C. Sabo, MD, PhD is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington. She received her MD and a PhD in immunology at Washington University in Saint Louis. Her thesis work focused on the molecular mechanisms of antibody mediated neutralization of Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). Michelle completed residency training in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington. Her current research focuses on how the vaginal microbiome alters HIV susceptibility and cervicovaginal inflammation. |
