Description | This has been an unprecedented election season and, no matter where you stand, it has added to our sense of uncertainty and worry amid a pandemic and demonstrations for racial justice. While we may still not know the outcome the day after the election, we invite students, staff and faculty to join Dean Hilary Godwin and other SPH leaders as the School offers space for the SPH community to reflect upon the 2020 election and what our next steps will be as public health champions. Our goal is to listen, to provide support and to reassure our community that we are in this together and committed to building a healthy future for all. Our aim is to positively connect and share our perspectives, thoughts and ideas for moving forward.
Joining Dean Godwin will be Victoria Gardner, assistant dean for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Office of the Dean; Juanita Ricks, director for Student and Academic Services, Office of the Dean; Lurdes Inoue, chair, Department of Biostatistics; Michael Yost, chair, Department of Environmental & Occupational Health Sciences; Stephen Hawes, chair, Department of Epidemiology; Judith Wasserheit, chair, Department of Global Health; Jeffrey Harris, chair, Department of Health Services; Adam Drewnowski, director, Nutritional Sciences Program and Center for Public Health Nutrition; and Nick Smith, chair, SPH Faculty Council.
