Difficulty: All Date & Time: March 2, 5:00 p.m. UWild’s Wilderness Educator and Adventure Leadership (WEAL) course is designed to provide the foundational knowledge of what it takes to safely land effectively lead groups in wilderness and adventure programming. The skills learned and developed in this course also apply to personal trips for those who find themselves in leadership roles with their friends. The WEAL cover topics ranging from risk management, group development, and various teaching approaches used in wilderness and adventure settings. The skills developed in this course will be essential for those who are interested in working in the outdoor industry especially at programs like UWild.
