Description | Stay active and connected to the UW community this term by joining our Month of Movement in partnership with UWild. Participants will have the whole month of February to complete the challenge distance they register for (25, 50, or 100 miles). Set your own goals, break up the running/walking/hiking distances how you see fit over the course of the month. Each Thursday at 7pm via Zoom, individuals have the opportunity to connect with other participants to share their experience and cheer each other on! Additionally, our UWild expert will teach participants about running gear, navigation, personal safety, location of urban and wilderness running trails, and much more! Registration: Opens Thu. Dec. 17 at 10:00am through Thu. Jan. 28 at 11:59pm. Register for either the Cascade 25 mile, Olympic 50 mile, or Rainier 100 mile challenge. Event Duration: Challenge starts Mon. Feb. 1 through Sun. Feb. 28 Event Info: - Tracking your distance is easy. A variety of apps such as Strava, MapMyRun etc., can track your time and distance for you.
- Once you are finished with a run, walk or hike, report your time and distance through the online FORM. Intramurals will record and track your miles over the course of the month. You can report daily, weekly, or at any interval that is convenient to you.
- You don’t have to stop once you have completed the challenge distance. Submit all your miles as you go, and Intramurals will track your total miles.
- Join us every Thursday night at 7pm during the month of February to connect with other participants and learn about trail running tips and tricks from our UWild expert. Zoom meeting link will be distributed to participants before the challenge starts.
