Description | I’m a scientist with a wide variety of research experience. I started studying archaeal organisms in college, then progressed to human cell lines and in vitro systems in grad school. Then I rounded out my experience with in vivo animal models and patient derived samples as a post-doc. I’ve learned several methods including X-ray crystallography, southern blotting, microscopy, and next generation sequencing. I currently work as a field application scientist at NanoString technologies where I work mostly remotely to help researchers using our technologies. This virtual seminar series is only possible because of generous support from the UW Departments of:Biochemistry, Biological Structure, Biomedical Informatics and Medical Education, Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, Microbiology, and Physiology and Biophysics.
