Being able to recall our past is a beautiful part of being human. Our memories connect us with our families, friends and communities and help us stay on top of our tasks and responsibilities – including activities that keep us safe and healthy.

Changes in our memory are a natural part of the aging process. However, there are many factors that shape whether and when individuals will experience memory loss and it can be hard to know what changes are normal and what may signal dementia or a treatable medical condition.

Join Dr. Pamela Dean, Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Dr. Joel Eppig, Clinical Neuropscyhology Postdoctoral Fellow, for this Alzheimer’s Awareness month webinar. We’ll learn about differences between normal, age-associated memory loss and the more serious memory changes that occur in diseases like Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.
