Join the story maps track the week of August 16-20th to learn about the basics of creating your first story map. In this track, you will learn how to use the open source platform StoryMaps JS to tell stories with geospatial content. This track will best serve those who have little or no background in story mapping. You will have the opportunity to engage in asynchronous and synchronous discussions with your cohort. Cohort members are expected to contribute 8-10 hours a week working through asynchronous content with 2 hours of synchronous meeting time together. Please be sure you can attend the synchronous sessions before registering for the Cohort option. - Synchronous sessions: August 16, 1-2 pm Pacific and August 18, 1-2 pm Pacific
If you are unable to join the synchronous sessions, please sign up for our Learn on Demand option and we'll send the workshop materials out to you in August for you to work through on a schedule that best suits you.Open Scholarship can take many forms. In the Open Scholarship Summer Series (OSSS), we’re exploring the concepts of creating new knowledge through open source tools with the option to share these products openly.
