High summer in the maritime Pacific Northwest means our trees and shrubs are prone to suffering from excessive heat and lack of natural rainfall. These stressors can also cause plants to be more susceptible to disease and insect pest problems. This is a good time to check in with the plants and look for any new or more serious problems that have developed since spring. Please join us for the second class in the Seasonal Plant Diagnostic Walk series! These are hands on classes that will cover how to diagnose common plant problems, including how to scout and monitor for diseases and insect pests, how to recognize what is not normal for a plant, and what kind of management plan will work best for the issue. Join us in the UWBG Washington Park Arboretum and learn skills to help you keep your garden plants healthy and thriving. Participation in previous Plant CSI virtual classes and walks not required, but encouraged. Cost: $35 Discounts available for full time students and CORPS members Register online or call 206.685.8033
