Join us for an in-person gathering and a sneak-peak preview of the newly finished Duwamish River People's Park, which is scheduled to open to the public later in the summer! This gathering will be an opportunity to connect in-person after the 2022 Ecological Restoration Symposium. After the symposium's deep-dive into the challenges restoration projects face--changes in the environment, flooding, co-existing with beavers, steep slopes, and more--this gathering will give folks the chance to meet and discuss their own restoration challenges together. The gathering will take place at the Duwamish River Community Hub, and will include preview-tours of the nearby Duwamish River People’s Park (DRPP) with expert George Blomberg from the Maritime Environmental Team. This symposium gathering is co-hosted by the University of Washington Botanic Gardens and the Northwest Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration to provide continuing education for restoration ecology practitioners. Cost: $15, includes tour of the park & light refreshments Register online Professional Credits Available: CERP-2, CPH-1, ecoPRO-1, NALP/WALP-1 |
