Description | Join us for a colloquium with Dr. Lauren Corlies, the LSST EPO Deputy. Title: “Creating for Your Audience & the Rubin EPO Program” Abstract: The Education and Public Outreach Team of the Vera C. Rubin Observatory is working to build an online, data-driven program that provides fun, inclusive, interactive content for the non-specialist audience to engage with the observatory scientists and discoveries. In this talk, I’ll highlight how our program was designed to meet the needs of our audiences and show how remembering to create for your audience can help make any program or communication more effective. I’ll then give an overview of what the EPO program is, show off of what we’ve built, and highlight resources we’ve created for those doing outreach. You can attend this event in-person in PAA 102 or via this Zoom Link: washington.zoom.us… |
