Professor Thaddeus Metz often draws on values salient in the African philosophical
tradition to address a variety of moral, political, and legal controversies. He has published
more than 300 works, some of which have been translated into one of more than a dozen
languages. His articles have appeared in journals such as Theoretical Medicine and
Bioethics, the Monash Bioethics Review, the Journal of Medicine and Philosophy, and Public
Health Ethics, and his chapters have been published in books that include Bioethical
Insights into Values and Policy (Springer), The Ethics of Reproductive Genetics (Springer),
and the Cambridge Handbook of the Ethics of Ageing (Cambridge UP). Metz was once
designated one of ‘The World’s Top 50 Thinkers’ by Prospect Magazine for bringing African
ideas to global audiences. |
