Join us for a seminar on From Prompts to Python: Tools in Analytics, presented by Ph.D. student Arsalan Esmaili.

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming how supply chain, logistics, and transportation professionals interact with data. From automating routine coding tasks to enabling more intuitive analysis workflows, AI-powered tools are lowering the barrier to advanced analytics while expanding what practitioners can accomplish.

This seminar introduces a practical, hands-on approach to using AI in analytics, focusing on how natural language prompts can be translated into working Python code. Rather than starting from programming fundamentals, the session demonstrates how modern AI tools can assist in exploring datasets, generating code, and accelerating analysis.

Using a real-world, logistics-inspired dataset, the session walks through a complete workflow:
- Identifying meaningful analytical questions from raw data
- Using AI tools to generate and refine Python code
- Conducting exploratory analysis and building a simple predictive model
- Interpreting results in a supply chain context to support decision-making

The goal of this seminar is not only to demonstrate specific tools, but to highlight a new way of working—where domain expertise and AI collaboration enable faster, more accessible, and more impactful analysis.

By the end of the session, participants will have a clearer understanding of how AI can support data-driven decision-making and how they can begin integrating these tools into their own workflows.
