Description | CEI Test Bed Update and Roadmap for the Future It’s remarkable that it has been two years since Governor Inslee visited UW and officially dedicated the Clean Energy Institute. Since that time we have funded more than 70 graduate students scholarships and supported important new faculty hires in clean energy. Our faculty, students and staff have provided informational tours for hundred of visitors, developed clean energy and STEM education programs for K-12 students, and traveled across the state to increase public understanding of the promise of alternative energy, smart grids and storage systems. Finally, we have also been working in a broad collaboration with faculty, other research institutions and industry to plan for a regional test bed facility that will assist in the scale-up, prototyping, testing, and validating of clean energy innovations. Join the Clean Energy Institute community on Thursday December 10 to hear about the progress of the Clean Energy Institute to date. Get a look at the outcomes of the regional test-bed facility planning sessions and learn about the road ahead from CEI Director Dan Schwartz. A thank you reception for all CEI faculty, students and friends will follow. |
