| Description | Registration Required Join FL-IDN for a hands-on workshop exploring Universal Design for Learning (UDL)! A brief overview of UDL and accessibility is where we start. Then exploration of creating inclusive assignments using purpose, flexibility, and choice. You'll have the opportunity to play with adapting traditional assignments across different content areas to better incorporate UDL. Learning Outcomes
By the end of the webinar, participants will be able to: - Understanding of the basic history and concepts of Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
- Understanding that when creating anything through a UDL lens you have 3 areas to consider: gaining new knowledge, interaction with the knowledge, and assessment of the knowledge.
- Experience developing an assignment which meets the basic UDL concepts of purpose, flexibility, and choice, along with eliminating as many barriers to learning as possible.
- Experience adapting a traditional assignment to meet the basic UDL concepts of the purpose of the assignment, flexibility, and choice, along with eliminating as many barriers to learning as possible.
