Explore the way we dream, design, and develop innovative solutions for our everyday lives during Engineer It Weekend. Imagine new ideas to move and power our society and meet the local experts who are helping turn ideas into reality. Whether you want to build better robots, code, genes, or bridges—if you can dream it, you can engineer it! Curiosity Days: Engineer It Weekend is an interactive and informative event that teaches and entertains the whole family. Through this event, guests of Pacific Science Center have a unique opportunity to engage with local engineers and organizations and learn the many facets of engineering and how engineering powers our society in unexpected ways. Department of Mechanical Engineering Assistant Professor Ashis Banerjee, along with two ME graduate students, John Stewart and Behnoosh Parsa will have a table all-day on May 4th and 5th, where they will give a video demonstration of the working principle and applications of optical tweezers. They will also have a mini replica of the physical system for kids to interact with. |
