Thursday, June 2, 3:30–6PM PDT Husky Union Building (HUB) South Ballroom 4001 E Stevens Way NE, Seattle, WA 98195 ME Capstone Expo 2022 Flyer Mechanical engineering undergraduates will showcase their capstone design projects through posters, prototypes, exhibits, and demos. Join students, industry mentors and sponsors, and the ME community in celebrating their hard work and achievements. We have 143 ME undergraduates spread over 45 capstone teams, including industry capstone projects, faculty-sponsored projects, student-proposed projects, and more. Over 20 of the teams are interdisciplinary and most students have been working on their projects for at least two quarters. The event will include awards and prizes, including the results of a photo contest and a People's Choice award. Light Appetizers, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided. Between 3 and 3:30 capstone students (only) will be able to view each others' projects. Doors open for all attendees at 3:30. We are accepting project proposals for the 2022-2023 academic year through early autumn. Important COVID informationIf you are sick or experiencing mild symptoms of illness, you are not permitted in the HUB. Please monitor yourself for symptoms before attending and stay home if symptomatic or if instructed to isolate or quarantine by a public health professional. We encourage all event attendees to activate the Washington Exposure Notifications - WA Notify app. Currently, vaccine verification and masks are not required indoors on campus, but they are strongly encouraged. We will be providing high-quality masks at the entrance to the expo and have hand sanitizer available throughout the room. Please wash/sanitize hands regularly throughout the event. The HUB is taking the following steps to assist in the prevention of COVID-19: -The HUB HVAC system is equipped with MERV 13 air filters and air is cycled through the building. -Each meeting room is equipped with an air purifier -The HUB has hand sanitizer available in all of the main lounges, meeting rooms, on each elevator landing and at the North entrance of the building. -Restrooms are located on each of the landings and are equipped with sinks and soap. -The HUB will disinfect each event space before and after each use using Alpha HP 67. -All must follow instructions on building signage.
