Dr. Towal shares her journey to become a nationally recognized engineer and scientist and her observations of how the working environment is evolving and improving for women in STEM. Dr. Towal has worked in government labs, universities, research institutes, and industry. She has built robots, studied how rats use whiskers to sense their environment, modeled the human visual system, and developed industry-leading applications of biologically inspired computation.
