Engineering students are welcome to join the UW-Tohoku University Academic Open Space symposium. Materials and systems for the next generation airplanes (to be developed in 2035-2040 by Boeing and Airbus is the focus in the afternoon of April 12 (Wednesday) and morning of April 13 (Thursday). Also join us on Wednesday, April 12 at 3:00 p.m. for a short symposium on selected several strategic directions for development (such as next generation airplane materials and structures, energy science for transportation systems, natural hazard (earthquake and Tsunami) and disaster engineering.
