The Probability Space of Metal Halide Perovskites Organic–inorganic metal halide perovskites (MHPs) have emerged as the most prominent new photovoltaic material as they provide a highly competitive power conversion efficiency and excellent defect tolerance. However, the degradation of MHPs under ambient humidity and long-term photo exposure remains an obstacle in the application of MHPs into solar cells to integrate into the energy grid system. Ghosh's studies highlight the strong suitability of MHPs for deployment beyond the terrestrial by examining their durability in space, significantly broadening the application space of this interesting and versatile class of semiconductors. |
