This year's Ask a Scientist event will again be an extravaganza of scientists, engineers, and other climate and energy experts with plenty of answers to those perplexing questions. Besides the engrossing discussions over beer and tasty food in the Lagunitas Beer Sanctuary, there will hands-on scientific demonstrations of ocean acidification, global warming, and extreme weather events, as well as a climate bingo game with prizes. Fun for all ages! 100% of the beer proceeds go to Cascadia Climate Action to support future Climate Science on Tap events around the city, so bring your friends and get ready for a night of science and fun! Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Event ends at 8:30pm. Engrossing conversations can be continued down the street at Northwest Peaks Brewery who stay open until 11:00pm! Bring those questions that have been puzzling you or join an engrossing conversation underway with others; enjoy meeting your neighbors and building some climate camaraderie, too. This fundraiser will support the work of Cascadia Climate Action in putting on these Climate Science on Tap events to bring science out into the community to inspire climate action. Increase your appreciation and understanding of the coming climate crisis and then link up with organizations and individuals hard at work on climate solutions. The nice thing to keep in mind is that working together to reverse climate change inspires optimism, too! These events are wholly volunteer-driven and put on for the good of the community and the planet! All welcome regardless of ability to pay Come enjoy and learn how we all can make a difference!
