Difficulty: All Date & Time: February 17, 5:00 p.m. The Leave No Trace principles are familiar to many who spend time in more wild environments, but how do we apply these broad ethics to mountain travel? In this workshop, we will discuss the different public land management agencies within the United States and how their mission informs how they manage recreational wilderness travel. We will touch on subjects like indigenous land management practices, navigating fragile alpine ecosystems, and ideas for how to turn crowded crags into durable climbing communities. This presentation will involve lecture and break-out sessions to share your perspectives and ideas. **THIS COURSE IS OPEN TO STUDENTS AND UW CLASS PASS HOLDERS AT NO COST** $5 for non-student, non-class pass holders |
