Offered as part of our educational series for restoration ecology professionals, this class will cover how to select and place native plants in different types of restoration and naturalized settings, as well as how to effectively incorporate native plants in home and public landscape designs. We will emphasize species succession and diversity, as well as improving long-term environmental functions, sustainability, and aesthetics using native species. How to plant trail and landscape edges for optimal habitat functions and reduced demands for clearance pruning will also be discussed. We hope this class will be helpful to those who wish to incorporate or diversify native plants in their planting projects. Cost: $35 Register online CEUs pending.
