The UW hosted Tent City 3 twice (2017 and 2020), welcoming to campus dozens of otherwise homeless folks who nestled in at parking lot W35 during winter quarter. Undergrads (especially the Honors program), along with graduate students from public health, nursing, MEDEX, social work, dentistry, English, the Evans School, and computer sciences had formal coursework with TC3 participants. What did the UW learn from this experience? Let’s get ready for another stay in Winter of 2023.
