Speakers: Dr. Eli Wheat Eli is passionate about regenerative food production systems and teaches many courses at UW in food production and sustainability as well as owning and operating his own 20-acre organic farm on Whidbey Island. Dr. Caroline Strömberg Caroline’s research with UW Bio focuses on the evolutionary history of grasslands. In a joint project with the Burke Museum, Dr. Stromberg aims to gain a better understanding of the grasslands that cover 40% of Earth’s land surface and have provided food for humans for millennia. This Winter 2023 speaker series focuses on Climate Change and the effects on agriculture and food. Events will be held at all three UW campuses as well as virtually. |
