The UW Surplus store is open to everyone on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. We receive new items every day, so inventory is always changing. If you'd like to get a preview of new items, you can sign up for our newsletter. Come by to see what bargains are in stock this week!     

About us: UW Surplus takes all unwanted items from UW departments and medical facilities. Our objective is to reuse, repurpose, or recycle as many items as possible to lessen the University’s climate impact on both purchasing and disposal. Items are resold through our retail store, online storefront, and timed auctions.

Tikvah's Garden site (meet at the Fishery Science Building - FSB)

Bring water and dress for the weather!

UW students living in the North campus neighborhood can get rid of unwanted items for free during the Husky Neighborhood Cleanup. On June 12, 16 and 17 trucks will be on site accepting items for recycling or disposal.
A UW student Husky card will be required to drop off material. Items can be taken on those days to the median at 17th Ave NE & NE 47th St. from 1 to 5 p.m. or until the trucks are full.

Accepted items include:

• Recyclable materials, including scrap metal and painted or unpainted wood
• Disposal of items in poor condition, including mattresses and upholstered furniture
