| Description | Skill Level: Beginner All document creators, from faculty and staff to students, are required to make sure the documents they create and disseminate are accessible to individuals who use Assistive Technology (AT). In this workshop, we will go over what it is like for someone who uses AT to interact with a document that is NOT accessible and we will briefly talk about the requirements and responsibilities of document creators in regards to document accessibility. We will cover the basics of creating accessible MS Word documents and PowerPoint presentations, how to use the built-in accessibility checker, and how to export these documents to create accessible PDF documents. We will briefly cover the process of PDF document remediation and what is required. |
