UW Pathology Presents “Proteomic Solutions to Aging Problems: From Basic Biology to Clinical Applications" Nathan Basisty Postdoctoral Fellow The Buck Institute for Research on Aging Why Attend this Seminar? Attend this seminar to learn how the application of proteomics can advance basic and translational geroscience. The advancement of sample preparation workflows, technology, and computational tools has led to an evolution of mass spectrometry-based proteomics that enable advanced molecular characterization of increasingly complex biological processes such as aging. This talk will present new tools and the application of innovative proteomic techniques that enable the measurement of protein turnover dynamics and post-translational modification of the aging proteome in mice, as well as proteomic approaches to quantify and target cellular senescence in humans.
