UW Pathology Presents “Interferon-lambda at the Innate-Adaptive Interface during Influenza Virus Infection" Emily A. Hemann, Ph.D. Assistant Professor Department of Microbial Infection and Immunity Ohio State University Why Attend this Seminar? Influenza virus infection remains a global health burden. The host immune requirements for priming of broadly-cross protective adaptive immunity against respiratory virus infections such as influenza virus remain unknown. A better understanding of cell-intrinsic host immunity in the context of infection will aid in the development of novel therapeutics and adjuvants to combat influenza and other respiratory virus disease. In this seminar, we will discuss the unique role of interferon-lambda in priming of adaptive immune responses against influenza virus infection and the intrinsic role of interferon-lambda in dendritic cell function.
