Join the Stroum Center for a lunchtime seminar featuring our 2016-17 Graduate Fellows. The May 9th seminar will address "Civilian Life and Military Participation in Conflict Zones – Two Case Studies." Ozgur Ozkan is a PhD candidate in the Jackson’s School International Studies doctoral program. His research project is “Non-Muslim Military Service and Minority Experience in the Late Ottoman Empire.” Emily Gade is a PhD candidate in the Political Science Department at the University of Washington. Her project is “Effects of Violence on Civilian Support for Militancy.” A member of the Jewish Studies faculty will serve as respondent.
