Join us for a closing week artist talk with C. Davida Ingram, the 2018 Jacob Lawrence Legacy Resident. Ingram’s exhibition A Book with No Pages focuses on venerating the beauty of social change makers while also celebrating the pioneering influence of Seattle African American artists: Jacob Lawrence, Gwendolyn Knight Lawrence, James Washington, and Barbara Earl Thomas. Her process included dialogues with community organizers, artists, and healers considering Black radical imagination and deeper dreaming of solidarity in the Trump era.
