Description | The Center for Performance Studies announces Coffee and Concepts. “Good conversation is just as stimulating as black coffee, and just as hard to sleep after,” says a not-too-ancient proverb. This fall, we are happy to have you for coffee and conversation at the Center for Performance Studies. The Coffee and Concepts talks are colloquium-style, informal gatherings where scholars from across campus who work in the field of performance (broadly conceived) will be presenting new work and work in progress. Come and share the pleasure to be their first listeners and readers. We open the series with a conversation with Tony Lucero (Latin America and Caribbean Studies) on October 12 and follow with Ralina Joseph (Communication) on October 19, Ellwood Wiggins (Germanics) on October 26, Adair Rounthwaite (Art History) on November 2, and Stefka Mihaylova (Drama) on November 9. All four conversations will take place in Hutchinson Hall, room 154, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Please mark these dates on your calendars. We will be sending details about the individual presentations shortly. We look forward to seeing you, Stefka Mihaylova (CPS Director) |
