| | Description | Meet Canadian artist, trans activist, and internet sensation Sophie Labelle. Sophie is known internationally for her bilingual web comic Assigned Male / Assignée Garçon and for her print comic books featuring trans and gender-non-conforming children and young adults. This is a moderated but informal Q&A where you can ask questions, hear her stories, and buy some books. This event is made possible by the generous financial support of Canadian Studies, French and Italian Studies, Comparative History of Ideas, and the Simpson Center for the Humanities, with promotional support from Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies and the Q Center. |
