Description | On Friday, November 16th, from 2:30-4 PM, the Classics, Medieval, and Early Modern Studies Group at UW will hold our first Ethical Pedagogies workshop of the year. CMEMS Ethical Pedagogies workshops are devoted to building inclusive, intersectional, and responsible courses and teaching practices in pre-modern and early modern fields, which have often been seen as exclusive, white, and male. This quarter's workshop will feature guest speaker Dr. Kathryn Bunn-Marcuse, Curator of Northwest Native American Art at the Burke Museum and Assistant Professor of Art History at UW. The workshop will be held in CMU 218D (The Simpson Center for the Humanities' Collaboration Studio). For more information, please contact Lane Eagles (lmeagles@uw.edu) or Emily George (ecg136@uw.edu). |
