Description | Lakota Emergence is a powerful contemporary art exhibition that exemplifies Lakota self-representation contributing to vital, self-determined understandings of Lakota presence and futurity. The exhibition includes 18 artworks by 16 Lakota artists, each interpreting a passage from the Lakota emergence narrative "How the Lakota Came upon the World."
