Video assignments offer students the chance to work collaboratively and creatively in a discipline where we often focus on individual work. But what are we hoping to achieve with them, where do we start, and how do we assess them? Dr. Charity Urbanski will discuss her experiences assigning video projects for HSTAM 112, including crafting the assignment, articulating learning goals, assessing student work and contribution, and responding to technological challenges and student feedback.
