Join a growing community of scholars who approach their work through a disability studies perspective! The UW Disability Studies Program invites faculty, graduate students, and staff from across the university to a meet-and-greet event to learn about the Disability Studies Program and to connect with others who have similar interests. Everyone is welcome, whether you currently integrate a disability studies perspective in your research, teaching, and advising or would simply like to learn more. We are actively working to develop and strengthen an interdisciplinary community of scholars who collaborate, educate, and promote a deeper understanding of disability in the academy and the community. Part of Exploring the Fault Lines of Disability Studies, a crossdisciplinary research cluster of the Simpson Center for the Humanities. Questions? Contact Stephen Meyers (Law, Societies & Justice, International Studies) at sjmeyers@uw.edu. More information at disabilitystudies.washington.edu. IMPORTANT ACCESSIBLE PARKING INFORMATION: With the N22 lot being closed for construction, the closest disability parking will be in the Central Plaza Garage underneath Red Square. Please stop by one of the Gatehouses (map shown here) and indicate you need a disability accommodation. The attendant will then give you a UW-campus accommodation permit along with a parking permit and you'll be directed to the closest available garage, likely to be Central Plaza Garage. |
