Serawit Debele, postdoctoral research fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity in Göttingen, Germany, will discuss whether popular political protests in Tunisia, Ethiopia, and Sudan in the past decade allowed sexual minorities to imagine cultivating a world beyond the violence and injustices to which they have been subjected.
