Description | Celebrate 150 years of George Eliot’s Middlemarch with a digital symposium hosted by the University of Washington’s Eighteenth & Nineteenth Century Graduate Research Cluster. The Middlemarch 150th Anniversary Symposium will feature a keynote from Ronjaunee Chatterjee (Concordia); short research presentations by Laura Griffith (UW), Matt Poland (UW), Alex McCauley (UW), and Sierra Eckert (Princeton); and illustrative readings from Fionnuala Dillane (U College Dublin), Nancy Henry (U Tennessee), and Summer Star (SFSU). The symposium will be held on Zoom, Friday, May 21, 2021 from 9:00am to 12:10pm PDT. This event is free and open to all. |
