Description Dare to Reduce! For week seven of our Dare to Do Challenge, we’re focusing on simplifying life, reducing waste, and being sustainable. That’s why on Wednesday February 7 at 12:00PM in the HUB Room 334 we’re hosting staff from UW Sustainability and UW Recycling for an important Dare to Reduce Seminar! During this seminar you will learn concrete steps to: Reduce your carbon footprint, exploring ways you can make changes to your commute, your workspace, and your home Reduce waste by reusing, reducing, recycling, and composting Reduce your environmental impact in other ways big and small Sustainability is cost and environmentally friendly. Come to learn more and share your experiences! And presenter information for this year: Daimon Eklund, UW Sustainability Daimon Eklund has been the communications coordinator for UW Sustainability since 2014, and is the point person for the office’s messaging efforts through the website (green.uw.edu), social media, and print material. He enjoys that his job provide opportunities to foster collaboration on campus, and to work with students who bring innovative ideas to improve sustainability at UW. Adam Fehn, UW Recycling Adam Fehn is a coordinator at UW Recycling, where he specializes in contract management, customer service, and program planning. He has worked at UW Recycling for three years and greatly enjoys helping students, staff and faculty with their recycling questions. He graduated from Juniata College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Conservation, focusing on organismal and plant ecology. Share!
