Description | Join The Whole U and Pure Barre Seattle for a high energy, low impact workout in Red Square! This class will include Classic and Empower methods. Classic- Classic is our original barre class. Our proprietary technique is the fastest, most effective low-impact, full-body barre workout. For 50 minutes, you will be guided through a series of low-impact, high-intensity isometric movements designed to improve your flexibility while strengthening and toning your body. Empower- Pure Empower is our fusion of classic barre and cardio-centric interval training designed to elevate your heart rate, build strength and rev up your metabolism. For 45 minutes, you’ll use dynamic movements with ankle weights and a plyometric platform to target different muscle groups simultaneously - all at an invigorating pace. Instructor Bio - Maya Hutchinson In 2013 Maya moved up to Seattle from San Francisco to attend UW (GO DAWGS!). She immediately fell in love with the city and the amazing fitness community that came with it. Maya quickly fell in love with group fitness and hit every studio and gym she could find in the area. In 2015 she got hooked on Pure Barre and joined the PBWA team as an Instructor and marketing coordinator. After graduating, she headed across the country to NYC where she worked for a fitness tech start up as their community manager (continuing to coach fitness on the side all the while!). Working with the various Aaptiv trainers made her realize that she wanted to commit her career fully to group fitness and personal training. Fast forward a few years and Maya headed back to Seattle to takeover Pure Barre Green Lake and University, where she currently teaches, owns and operates both studios! Additionally, she recently pursued her Personal Training certificate through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). Maya motivates her clients to feel confident, empowered and energized through each workout. She focuses on the "feel," not the "look," and aims to make the boutique fitness space more diverse, accessible and inclusive. Thank you to The Whole U program sponsor AT&T! |
